Quanta HSA - Uses

Quanta HSA is an extremely flexible accountability reporting system. It replaces the job of emailing and tallying Excel worksheets to dozens or hundreds of organizations. Here are a few example uses of Quanta HSA

Hospital Planning and Accountability

Quanta HSA automates the Hospital Annual Planning Submission (HAPS) process in Ontario. HAPS requires all hospitals to project their financial and clinical performance up to three years in advance. The report includes - revenue and expense statements, balance sheets, clinical volumes and four balanced scorecard indicator domains. Quanta HSA is used during negotations as well as quarterly reporting. The Hospital Service Accountability Agreements (HSAA) are produced, in part, using Quanta HSA.

Infection Outbreak Reporting

All hospitals in Ontario report infection outbreaks on a monthly basis using Quanta HSA. The figures are then summarized and reported on a separate MOHLTC website.

Staffing and Training Plans

All 3,200 healthcare organizations in Ontario were asked to submit their nursing staffing and training plans. The reported plans contained both quantitative as well as qualitative responses. Upon completion of the survey the responses were analyzed using a statistical package and reported to the Nursing Directorate of Ontario.
