Hospital Performance Indicators

Infonium aims to study and develop a demonstrative solution which will enable hospitals to more effectively compute sophisticated performance indicators in the most timely manner possible. The originating motivation for this research stems from the Hospital Service Accountability Agreement (HSAA) in Ontario. In these agreements it has been suggested that many hospitals, particularly small ones, find it difficult to generate and confirm many of the performance indicators to which they are held accountable.

To complete this project we require several partners. Partners being sought include: small, medium and large hospitals, hospital performance evaluation organizations, and provincial ministry of health performance and accountability representatives.

The expected level of participation includes: hospitals which will serve as test organizations, and all who will contribute input into indicator requirements.
